100% Viscose from Bamboo
Instead of cheap cotton or expensive silk, we use fabrics derived from the environmentally friendly bamboo plant for our blankets and sheets. When it comes to debating the softest, smoothest & most luxurious feeling fabrics, those derived from the bamboo plant are a more sustainable choice.
But why did we pick bamboo? In addition to the cooling and temperature-regulating properties of the fabric, here are a few other reasons:
- Requires 1/3 of the water to grow
- Self-regenerating & fastest growing plant
- Does not require pesticides or fertilizers
- Hypoallergenic & gentle on skin
Our buttery soft Luxury Sheets & Lightweight Blanket definitely make a lasting, luxurious impression.
Livaeco™ Modal
Modal has an incredibly dreamy & luxurious softness, with resilience & strength. Livaeco™ Modal by Birla Cellulose is made from pulp procured from sources that are certified by the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC). Their commitment to the environment has always been strong which is why they make a perfect partner and fabric source for Luxome.
Our Essential Loungewear is knit with 67% Livaeco™ Modal, creating ultra-soft apparel that keeps you comfortably lounging all day & night.
Tencel™ Modal x Micro
Modal has an incredibly dreamy feel, is breathable, moisture-wicking, and is much softer than other fabrics. It's an innovative fabric, with fibers made from wood, a natural and renewable raw material carefully sourced from responsibly managed forests. The wood taken from nature is purposefully balanced with forest growth rates, to ensure the continued availability of this valuable resource.
Our Modal Sleepwear Collection is knit with 95% TENCEL™ Modal x Micro, providing ultra-soft comfort and style while you get your zzz’s.

Many of Our Products are Oeko-Tex® Certified
Oeko-Tex certification is a globally recognized standard for textile products that ensures they are safe from harmful substances and safe for human use. It means that the product has been tested by independent laboratories and found to be safe from harmful chemicals, such as pesticides, heavy metals, and formaldehyde.
Looking for Oeko-Tex certified products and companies is essential because it assures you of safe and environmentally-friendly textiles. This certification shows that we are committed to producing high-quality and safe products, giving you peace of mind knowing that you and your loved ones are using safe product.

Not Harder
RECYCLABLE OR REUSABLE PACKAGING
Many of our comfort essentials are perfectly packaged in stylish bags or totes that can easily be reused for personal storage, travel and more! If it's not reusable, the packaging definitely recyclable. For example, our Essential Loungewear Collection & Modal Sleepwear Collection is packaged within a glassine paper bag then shipped out in a BDP treated poly bag. Sheets, Pillowcases and Duvet covers also shipped in BDP plastics, making a huge impact on sustainability. Our goal is to responsibly addresses end of life with no microplastics, one product at a time.
GLASS VS. PLASTIC BEADS
Our glass beads that provide the weight in our weighted blankets are naturally hypoallergenic, certified lead-free, and an environmentally friendly alternative to the more commonly used plastic pellets.
Responsible Packaging Disposal
At Luxome, we are committed to reducing our footprint. While we use durable plastic to ensure your order arrives safely, we need your help to keep it out of the landfill when possible. Most of our shipping materials—including mailers and plastic bags—recyclable through specialized programs.
- Empty & Dry: Remove all products and receipts. Plastic must be clean to be processed
- Peel off shipping labels. If they’re stuck, simply snip that small corner off and toss it in the trash.
- The Stretch Test: Use your thumb to pull the plastic. If it stretches like a grocery bag, it’s PE Plastic (#2 or #4) and ready for a drop-off bin!
FIND A DROP-OFF: USA
- In the United States, plastic film should not go in your curbside bin, as it can damage sorting machinery. Instead, please use Store Drop-Off locations found at most major grocery and retail stores. Note: Not recyclable in California; California residents must dispose of this packaging in the trash.
- Find a Drop-Off Near You: Search the Plastic Film Directory
- Retail Partners: Look for bins at the entrance of stores like Target, Walmart, Kroger, and Safeway.
FIND A DROP-OFF: CANADA
- Recycling capabilities vary by province. In many parts of Canada, plastic film is collected at specialized depots rather than at the curb.
- Ontario & Beyond: Most provinces use Circular Materials to manage local programs. Starting in 2026, Ontario transitioned to an enhanced, unified recycling system. Please check your local municipal guidelines or the Circular Materials website to see if flexible plastics are accepted curbside or require a depot drop-off.
